The testes are the part responsible for the production of both of a man’s sperm, along with testosterone, testicular pain is defined as a state of pain, or ultimate discomfort in one or both of the testes, which may sometimes extend to the thigh or abdomen, with the severity of testicular pain ranging from mild to severe. Torsion of the Testicles, a very uncommon but painful medical condition, occurs when the testis are twisted around the sperm cord, cutting off the blood flow to the testis, and therefore requires urgent medical attention to prevent permanent damage to the testis. When the testicular is inverted, when one of the testes rotates or inverts spontaneously or as a result of trauma, causing the spinning of the spermatic cord that supplies blood to the scrotum; when the testicular is inverted, blood vessels in the spermatic cord are also inverted, permanently interrupting blood flow to the affected testicular. This sprain may result in the loss and death of the testicle; in other cases it may cause swelling and often sudden and severe pain, as blood contains the oxygen needed for the testicle to function and survive. Causes of testicular pain are peristalsis. The presence of kidney stones. Urinary tract infection. Mumps infection. Prostate infection. Neurological damage from chronic diabetes. Getting gangrene. Side effects of certain medications and drugs. Inflammation of the blood vessels. Testicular cancer. Symptoms of testicular sprain are very visible, easily recognizable, and most importantly, intense and sudden pain. Severe pain in the thighs.
